Policies and Rules
- All San Jose Civic venue policies are in effect, excluding the bag size limit.
- Silence all Cell Phones.
- Photos are okay, except for explicitly stated performances. But no flash photography.
- No banners, flags, standees, or large props will be allowed in the room.
- Don’t block or stand in any aisles or walkways. Wotagei/chikagei/mixing is allowed, but please keep it to the designated standing areas and be mindful of those around you.
- Don’t throw objects on stage. This includes glow sticks and penlights.
- No outside food or drinks will be allowed in the venue.
- Please follow any instructions or additional rules from onsite OffKai Expo Staff and Venue Security.
OffKai LIVE Bag Policy
We highly advise not bringing any bags into OffKai LIVE to speed up the entry process. There will not be onsite bag storage. However, small bags can be stored under your seat. Please ensure any bag you carry into OffKai LIVE is no larger than a standard backpack (17in x 12in x 6in). Attendees with large bags will be turned away at the door, and all bags are subject to search prior to entry by venue staff.
Please leave large bags in a secure location ahead of time. Please keep any compliant bag with you at all times.
How to Attend OffKai LIVE
In order to ensure a smooth and controlled entry to OffKai LIVE and prevent congestion in front of the venue, we will be using a timed entry system through Eventbrite. OffKai LIVE is free for all OffKai Expo Badge holders. Follow these steps to claim your entry pass.
- Follow the link below to our registration page.
- View the OffKai LIVE Entry Pass and click “complete order”.
- Wait for an email from our ticketing team with an Eventbrite registration code.
- The first wave of registration codes will go out on June 23rd
- Sign into Eventbrite using the same email you used to register for OffKai Expo.
- Use the registration code to reserve a spot for OffKai LIVE.
- Your Eventbrite entry pass will have your designated entry time.
- On the day of the show, line up at your designated time and show your registration to the venue staff.
Register for an OffKai LIVE entry pass by June 22nd for a greater chance at an early entry group!
- Entry times will be randomized for everyone who registers before June 22nd

How do I get to the San Jose Civic? Where can I park?
The San Jose Civic is directly across the street from the main entrance of the San Jose McEnery Convention Center.

Is an OffKai Expo badge required to attend OffKai LIVE?
Yes, a weekend badge or Saturday badge will be required to attend OffKai LIVE. You can purchase one by visiting our registration page.
How will check-in and doors open time work?
OffKai LIVE will be using a timed entry system, meaning that when you get your Eventbrite registration it will come with an assigned time. In order to avoid congestion in front of the venue, please do not line up before your assigned time.
You do not need to arrive at the venue immediately at your assigned time, however if you do not show up by the time the show starts at 7:30 pm, we cannot guarantee your entry to OffKai LIVE.
How does seating work?
OffKai LIVE will not use assigned seating. You may choose any open seat available when you enter the venue. There will be standing areas on the first floor by the stage. There will also be second floor balcony seating available.
Will there be loud sounds and/or flashing lights?
Yes. Please be aware that this performance features loud sounds and flashing stage lighting.
What if I have accessibility concerns?
The San Jose Civic building is wheelchair accessible and has accessible seats. Attendees with disabilities may enter the San Jose Civic through the main entrance via the wheelchair-accessible (WCA) ramp on the right side of the venue. The elevator to the balcony for accessible seating is located to the right as you enter the facility.
